Grading (and this is important):
*This course will follow the CPS-mandated grade scale. But it is also helpful to note the following: An
A in my class indicates extraordinary work work that goes above and beyond set expectations. A
B indicates good work. A C indicates average work. A D indicates below average work and
should be taken as an immediate warning sign that changes must be made
The following describes the grading breakdown for the class:

Class Expectations:
1.Treat others as you would like to be treated. Each person in the class has value and should be
treated as such.
2.Come on time and be prepared to work by the time the bell rings.
3.Wear your ID at all times.
Absence Policy:
Attendance is essential to success. If you are absent due to medical/family emergency or for court-
related issues, you must bring a note to excuse your absence. Without a note, you will not be given
credit for any work missed during your absence.

We will be using Blackboards Coursesites.com. I will be sending an email with a link that will allow
you to join the course. You will need to do this within 24 hours of our class time. All of our class
materials, homework sets, and calendar items are available on the website. You will need to check
the site daily in order to be properly prepared for class.
