Job Description
Photograph people use digital or film cameras.
They use computer software to produce finished images and prints.
It includes scientific photographer, aerial photographers, etc..
Training
Job training require more than 12 months.

This category includes formal and informal apprenticeships that may last up to 4 years
and short- term intensive employer-sponsored training that workers must successfully
complete.

Includes occupations in which workers may gain experience in non-work activities,
such as professional athletes who gain experience through participation in athletic
programs in academic institutions.

Tasks
Take pictures of individuals, families, and small groups, either in studio or on location.
Adjust apertures, shutter speeds, and camera focus based on a combination of factors
such as lighting, field depth, subject motion, film type, and film speed.
Use traditional or digital cameras, along with a variety of equipment such as tripods,
filters, and flash attachments.
Create artificial light, using flashes and reflectors.
Determine desired images and picture composition, selecting and adjusting subjects,
equipment, and lighting to achieve desired effects.
Scan photographs into computers for editing, storage, and electronic transmission.

Hourly Wages 2013 ($15.66)
This variable is the prevailing average hourly wage at the state level during the survey
year 2013. "Prevailing" means that the wages of all workers in a given occupation were
used to calculate the wage rate, not solely entry level wages.

The majority of the wage data is taken from the inaugural survey of the new
Occupational Employment Statistic (OES) program. These data were supplemented
from a variety of sources, to reflect a wage rate for each occupation in Texas CARES.
Users are reminded that these data are for general planning purposes only and may
