CALL FOR PAPERS

We are now witnessing and experiencing the impact of climate change. The Indonesian seasons have changed dramatically within a few years.
Heavy rains take place during the dry season; floods are more frequent, occurred in a number of coastal cities like Jakarta. It is predicted that
more hazards, like hot weather and heavy rains, will be threatening more life in the tropical region like Indonesia, due to climate change
We are now in the stage of no choice. We have to prevent a greater scale of destruction occurred due to climate change. We have to reduce the
greenhouse gases (GHG) like carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions, and also to adapt our built environment - building and cities for climate
change.
This conference aims to gather ideas from academicians, scientist and professionals such as building scientists, architects, building engineers,
town planners, landscape architects, lecturers, etc. who engage in the built environment to mitigate and to adapt the climate change.
A unique bilingual (English and Bahasa Indonesia) conference on Mitigating and Adapting Tropical Built Environments for Climate Change in
The Tropics will be held at TANRI ABENG UNIVERSITY (TAU) Jakarta, Indonesia on 30 and 31 March 2015.
