CHILD LABOR IN CHINA


Samsung, one of the most well
known creators of electronics
in the world, is not living up to
the companys social
responsibility to fight against
child labor in the foreign
country of China.
(Barboza,2014)
As a leading producer for smartphones,
Samsung has the social responsibility to keep
tabs on production in foreign places.
Corporate social responsibility deals with
creating wealth but doing so in ways that keep
the employees and working environment
within safe limits.
Child labor in China is not representing
living and working together for a common
good (Steiner and Steiner, 2012)
Samsung prevention of child labor in China:
Valid Employment Paperwork (labor contracts)
Better use of facial recognition system
Improved connections with temp. agencies
In-depth inspections of facilities
