You breathe in oxygen

Parts and Functions of the Respiratory System
Oxygen- are gasses in air that you breathe.
Carbon dioxide-you breathe because your needs to take oxygen and
get rid of cordon.
Lungs-organ in the chest used for breathing in and out.
Windpipe-the air goes down the windpipe .
Diaphragm-your diaphragm is one of the muscle you use to breathe
The windpipe slips into 2 tubes called bronchi.
Alveoli-parts of your lungs.
They are tiny round bags that are lled with air.

How Can I Help My Respiratory System?
1. Your body and your brain work better when you are healthy.
2. It is easier to think and concentrate at school when you are well.
3. Eat fruits and vegetables because they have vitamins. They help
protect your respiratory system against illness.
4. Breathing clean and fresh air is good for your lungs.
5. Exercise is good for making your lungs and heart stronger.
6. Stay away from things you are allergic to like dogs and owers.
How Can I Hurt My Respiratory System?
1. Smoking can hurt your lungs.
2. Breathing air pollution is bad for your lungs.
3. Catching cold or a u can hurt your respiratory system.
4. Asthma is a problem with your breathing
How is the Respiratory System Connected to Other Systems.?
From your lungs, our red blood cells
are carried us back to the heart by the
circulatory system. So the respiratory
system is connected to the circulatory
system.

Your heart pumps used blood
into the lungs to get fresh oxygen. So,
again the respiratory system is closely
connected to the circulatory system.

The brain controls the breathing in
your respiratory system. So, the
nervous system is connected to the
respiratory system.
