Immigration in Great Britain Needs to Stop!

Immigration is one of the largest problems faced in Great Britain at the moment, and
seems that it will continue to be. Studies show that there is around 863,000 immigrants living in
Britain illegally. Because they are here illegally, they are taking plenty of jobs from country-born
citizens, and not paying taxes to live in the area they do. According to a study done by the
MigrationWatch UK, it states about 250,000 foreign students from outside the EU arrive every
year to study in Britain. About one in five stays on legally after completing all studies and
becomes a long-term immigrant, while the others return home. But because there are no exit
checks, the number who actually left the country is unknown. It is believed that those who stay
illegally far outnumber those who stay legally. This is an easy way for immigrants to find their
way into the British Isles, and establish a life here, which is only hurting the real society of the
area because of their illegal doing. Also, immigration is impacting Great Britain negatively by
making the area rise to a population it isnt large enough to necessarily support. A research
study done has shown that the population of the British Isles is on its way to reaching 70 million
people in less than 15 years (67.2 million people by 2020, 70 million by 2027, and 73.2 by 2035).
This growth is due directly and indirectly by immigrants entering the countries directly, and the
offspring they will have while living here. The continuous growth will create multiple problems
for the already existing society, and it is unfair on many levels. Cultural impact has been shown
to be a big problem in the area as well, and something that myself and other people of the area
are not happy about. Immigration has created a much larger community of Muslims and the
presence of Islam into their society. 48% of Brits claim they believe that immigration has
created a negative impact on their country, and 37% would be willing to support a political
party whom reduced that minority group. It has been proven as well that the people of Great
Britain are agreeing with the point that immigration needs to be severely reduced, or even put
an end to. In 2012, a survey was put out that the results showed around 75% of Britons want to
see the amount of immigrants reduced, and 51% would like to see a very large reduction. If
more than half the people in the area want a change, it doesnt make sense that we are not
giving them what they want and deserve to make true and legal citizens a better life. I truly
believe that the more the legal citizens of the British Isles make their opinion on the topic
known, what they want will be received. Protesting for unemployment, population crowding,
and cultural differences is all valid ways to show what feelings are going through people.
