Bass Room Policy Proposal for 90W

Cleanliness
Be it that a clean bass room is to be preferred above a dirty one, the following
guidelines should be followed.
The contents of the bass room should be limited to:
1. Basses (stored on the bass rack)
2. Bass bags (stored on the bass bag rack)
3. Anything that can t tidily into a container beneath the bass rack, provided its not a
prohibited item.
4. Donated strings will be kept in a spare string box for communal use.
The following items are forbidden from the bass room:
1. Sports gear, Bicycles
2. Food
3. Cleaning supplies and other bass maintenance chemicals such as mineral oil, lemon
oil and so forth.
4. Sheet music that isnt in a bin beneath a bass rack or stored in a bass bag.
Proper Storage
All effects should be stored in an orderly fashion, using Chris Brintons adorable little
blue basket as the ideal. In effect, any possession that its not organized neatly in its
owners bass stall, or kept in an orderly fashion clear of the draft of the bass room door
or passageway.
Anything left in the passageway will be considered garbage, and is subject to JSACs
box o shit practices. If you want to keep it safe, dont leave it underfoot.
Climate
Maintaining a good level of humidity at a stable rate improves the longevity of wood,
prevents damage due to dryness, and produces better acoustic qualities in basses. To
insure decades of good sound and repair free enjoyment the following guidelines should
be followed.
1. The humidity of the bass room is to be maintained within the range of 25-35% relative
humidity.
2. In the dry season the humidier is to be kept stocked daily with fresh clean water. In
the wet season the dehumidier is to be emptied and rinsed daily.
3. The humidity gauges battery is to be checked regularly and changed as needed.
4. The door to the bass room is to be kept closed as often as possible. The bass room
window is to be kept closed at all times.
