COURSE DESCRIPTION
Intro to Art is a beginning art class for students in grades 9 through 12. In this class you learn to
create diferent kinds of two- and three-dimensional art using a variety of materials. Techniues
may include but are not limited to drawing! "ainting! scul"ture! ceramics! te#tiles! and metals. Art
assignments allow you to e#"ress your ideas in diferent ways.
$m"hasis is "laced on the basic elements of art and "rinci"les of design. %ou are e#"ected to
understand and use not only these elements and "rinci"les but also a basic visual arts vocabulary.
