Module II: Advanced Fine Finishing Process Abrasive flow machining (AFM), magnetic abrasive finishing (MAF) - process principle, process equipment, analysis Module III: Electro chemical type AMPs ECM - process principle, mechanism of material removal, tooling design, choice of process parameters, surface finish and accuracy.
Module IV: Thermal type AMPs Electrical Discharge Machning (EDM), Laser Beam Machning (LBM), Electron Beam Machning (EBM), Ion Beam Machning (IBM), Plasma Arc Machning (PAM) processes - working principle, process parameters and characteristics, , shape and materials applications, limitations.
Module V: Derived and Hybrid AMPs: introduction of processes like Rotary Ultrasonic Machining (RUM), Wire Electro Discharge Machining (WEDM), Electro Chemical Grinding (ECG), Electro Chemical Honing (ECH), Electro Chemical Deburring (ECDE), and Electro-Chemical Spark Machining (ECSM).
