SCHOOL OF PHYSIOTHERAPY Assignment Submission: Guidelines Students are required to submit their assignments and other written work in typed form. Please ensure that your assignments and written work comply with the following guidelines Students should: Collect the relevant cover page from the concerned staff and complete their name, student number, word count (if applicable) and sign/date the Declaration of Academic Integrity. Submit your assignment and cover page electronically in Blackboard/Turnitin and/or to the concerned staff on or before the deadline date of submission. Sign against a class list and retain your assignment receipt in a safe place as proof of submission should a piece of work go missing. Course lecturers/ Tutors: For each assignment, course tutors should do the following: Complete the various sections on the assignment cover page form: top (level, course/programme, module code/title, assignment title, course lecturer / tutor name and deadline) When the assignment is being set, and stress those assignments will not be accepted by the program officer / staff unless accompanied by a fully completed cover page. Collect the assignments Online from Black board/Turnitin or from program officer soon after the submission deadline has passed. Format and presentation White A4 page setting Single column (not like a newspaper) Header: put your student number in the header of each page Footer: put the page number in the footer of each page Ensure that correct referencing is used Ensure that spelling and expression is correct Attach the School Assignment cover page to the front of the assignment Reference lists There are numerous editorial styles that provide guidelines for both referencing and formatting in papers. Follow the American Psychological Association (APA) referencing system.
