fines apply on other materials, such as DVDs and

How to Register Your Educator Card
Step 1: Type in www.MyLibraryNYC.org into the browser address bar

Step 2: Choose your
schools borough from the
drop down menu
Step 3: Type in your
schools name
Step 4: Select Go to Catalog
Note: If this does not work use the URL
[schoolcode].bibliocommons.com
Example: k493.bibliocommons.com.
Step 5: Select Log In on the upper right hand
corner.
Step 6: Enter your barcode from the back
of your card
you will set up a username later
Step 7: Use the PIN 2012 and select Log In
Step 8:Verify your first and last name. If it is not you, please contact your
schools librarian.
Step 9: Choose the month and year of your birth and select
Next.
Step 10: Enter a username and email address
*Please use an email address that you check regularly.

Step 11: Read 5 Things You
Should Know then select
Register
Step 13: If you do not see NYPL or DOE in the drop down, then follow steps
14-18 to complete the registration process:
Step 12: If your registration is
successful, the drop down
shown below should display BPL, NYPL,
DOE and your school (ex: k493).
Note: You should first try to close the web browser completely and then re-
open the web browser to log in to start navigating MyLibraryNYC.org site.

Please skip to Step 19, one you see this.
Step 14: Select My Settings

Step 15: Select Library Cards

Step 16: Select Link a Library Card

Step 17: Enter your barcode and PIN 2012
Step 18: You will see an NYPL or
DOE icon to let you know youve
successfully linked your card.

Step 19: At a later time,
open the email and select the link
inside to confirm your email
address.
Once You Have Registered
You are now ready to find high-quality informational
resources at both your school and public library (books,
eBooks, downloadable video).
