Upcoming Programs:
Our next meeting will be September 25th beginning with
social knitting time at 6:30pm. After a brief business
meeting to welcome the new year, Chrystee Governo of
Play at Life Fiber Arts will
demonstrate how to knit from
hand dyed silk hankies. Well
get to practice on a swatch and
discuss project ideas.
Participants should bring
needles and a $16.00 materials
fee will be collected at the
meeting. Chrystee will have
product available for sale.
As always, members who would rather work on their own
project and get caught up with guild friends are welcome to
gather in the adjoining space after the business meeting.
Have an idea for future programming? Please bring your
ideas to a meeting, post to the discussion thread on the
Ravelry forum or email Becky or Jen.
Business Meeting Notes:
The Knit Night Hats will be collected into the fall and
donated to the victims of tornadoes in Oklahoma.
Our Summer Challenge of knits for small children will be
collected at the October meeting. Ideas include: toys,
hats, mittens and warm garments. Items will be donated
to Thundermist and/or Amos House for children in need.
Well be looking to discuss a fall challenge at the
September meeting. If you have an idea or favorite
cause that would benefit from our efforts, please bring that
idea to the table!
