The Order of the Sacred Rose was formed in the 36

th
Millennia. A Covent was set up on the planet Ministor,
just outside the Eye of Terror in the Scarus Sector. It was a key fortification world in the defensive zone around
the Daemonic Eye of Terror. Between the 36
th
and 41
st
Millennia, the Ministor Convent served the Emperor as
a bastion against the forces of Chaos. The Order of the Sacred Rose pretty much exclusively battled Daemons
and were highly regarded. In the 41
st
Milleniia, Canoness Verian was the commander on Ministor. She was an
exceptionally clever and logical woman and had become the High Canoness of the Convent.
Canoness Verian had seen countless attempted invasions and personally had lead two defensives of Ministor
against Khornate Daemons and Slaanesh Daemons. The third invasion was due to be her last.
Tzeentch Daemons attacked Ministor in uncountable numbers. The Battle Sisters could not possibly stand and
defeat such force. Over a 2 year siege, nearly 30% her order were either dead or wounded to the horrific
wounds suffered by the body altering flames of Tzeentch. It was the Lord of Changes plan to kill as few sisters
as possible but to instead inflict wounds on them which they would not overcome and be warped into
daemons under control of Tzeentch
With no end in sight, Verian prayed to the Emperor for salvation. For 2 years she prayed and the siege
continued to worsen. The suffering her Convent was horrific. Sisters who got injured in battle could not be
healed; even the strongest willed sister would suffer agony for weeks before falling to their wounds. In the
cruellest punishment imaginable, the fallen sisters became possessed by Tzeetnch and turned on her former
sisters.

She had to order the unthinkable, and demanded all wounded to be executed on sight of any slight wound to
avoid strengthening of the Tzeentch Daemons host. Overcome by the guilt and lack of salvation by her
Emperor, she gathered her Orders strength, and advised of a reckless mission intending to take the fight to
the Daemon heart. It was certain doom, and there was no way to survive. She gave no orders for anyone to
follow her she was willing to go alone.
Half the order was struggling with their faith under the extreme stress and hardship. The Emperor had not
answered them. Their God Emperor had failed and betrayed them. A lifetime of devotion, unrewarded. Each
sisters fate was to die and then be transformed into a Daemon.
With no aid, reinforcements and no respite, the convent was pushed to doubt if the Emperor would help them
prevail. Tzeentchs plan was working. Soon the God of change would have converted a convent of the
imperiums Battle Sisters to his side.
The few sisters devout and navely continued to believe that God could help them, held their positions. Over
half the Convent rallied the Canoness Verians side on the death mission determined to die for themselves
rather than an Emperor who they had been indoctrinated to believe in. Only now could they see that if he was
a God, he was a fallen God who was powerless.
As the Sisters advanced at the Daemons, they fought with an uncontrollable rage. Slowly they were
overwhelmed by the Daemons. As they bunkered down in a desperate last stand, deep within Daemon
controlled land, they laid dying from their wounds.

As each sister fell, each one heard a whispering from a god. The voice was comforting and fatherlike. The voice
promising the power to overcome the wounds and allow them to extract revenge on their sworn enemy it
also was the first proof that any God did exist.
Most sisters involved in this reckless attack, already doubting their Emperor God, actually had proof that this
new god was real and that he answered their prayers. Most the Sister accepted this new god with open arms,
the few remaining loyal to the Emperor, found their God Emperor fail once again, as they became Tzeentch
Demons.

Those whom embraced the new god, within minutes, they could not feel the pain of their deep flaming
wounds. They became heavily swollen and started to mutate. With flashes of light, Plaguebearers, Nurglings
Plaguedrones and a whole host of Nurgle Daemons arrived. The sisters looked at them with admiration,
acknowledging the beauty in knowing that regardless of Tzeentchs horrific pains, the Daemons of Nurgle did
not have to fear pain or death. Ultimately they would die, but decay and ultimately prevail over Tzeentch. They
saw the Nurgle Daemons as brothers, and joined them in battling the Tzeentch.
They recovered and became stronger and they managed to rebuke the attempted death blow the Lord of
Change had planned on their last stand. They then took the fight to Tzeentch once again. Between corrupt
Sisters and Nurgle Daemons they started to overcome the odds.
Canoness Verian fought her way to the commanding Daemon of Tzeentch. At the peak of the battle, A Great
Unclean one cast protective magics to keep the Canoness alive and allowing her to endure a flickering fire
Hellstorm attack. The Canoness managed to engage the Lord of Change in combat. Nurglings swarmed the
Lord of Change, weighing it down, meaning he could not flee the combat with its wings.

Verian, parried and dodged attacks from the twin heads of the Lord of Change. She managed to land a blow in
the eye of one of the bird heads but her sword was stuck. The great daemon recoiled from the wound, but
Verian maintained her grip on the hilt of the sword. She then vomited a stream of corruption into the
screaming Lord of Changes beak, melting the Daemon from the inside- The Nurglings under her, splashed
around in the rain of filth jovially.
With a sense of just Irony, the Lord of Changes flesh melted and transformed when in contact with the
corruption attack. However the Lord of Change, tried to combat this decay, it could not stop inevitable fact;
that death and decay will ultimately defeat change. Unable to resist the corruptive nature of the vomit, the
Lord of Change was transformed in a giant Nurgle Beast and began to attack its former Tzeentch Daemons.

Now leaderless, the Tzeentch armies slowly vanished back to the warp. The victorious Sisters had won.
Verian lead the victorious part of her Convent back. She attempted to reason with the still Loyal sisters. The
Loyal Sister, who had not witnessed the miracle of Nurgles Boons, could not understand that Papa Nurgle was
a kind, loving god. Verian was ultimately given no choice when the Loyal Sisters attacked attacked.

The Loyal Sisters were outnumbered and after seeing their former sisters converted to Nurgle they withdrew
from their Covent homeworld.

Canoness Verian, now known as the Plague Maiden, devoted the planet to Nurgle, for he was the only god
who listened to her prayers. Afterall, the Lord of Decay looks after his children and pets. Under the Plague
Maidens careful attention, the planet Ministor and her Covent became a plague world. Papa Nurgle was jolly.
This garden had expanded at the expense of Tzeentch, and has an entirely new type of beautiful pet that
pleases him.

The Inquisition purged the Convent Sanctorum of Ministor from the annals of history. To this day, The Plague
Maiden looks to repay the love and care Papa Nurgle had shown, saving her from a lifetime serving the fake
God Emperor and his false promises.
