God has a way of giving His people a vision for His plan for them in His tme. I truly believe God is giving our church a vision to inspire us to make a positve impact on our community and the world in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. With vision comes opportunity. In our Found Faithful capital stewardship program, God has given us a challenge and an opportunity for right now. Through this campaign, we now have the capacity and the actual ability to strengthen the ministry of our church for the immediate future and for generatons to come. The program guide you hold in your hand introduces you to the vision of our church and door of opportunity to which God invites us to enter. Please take the tme to study all of the material enclosed in the packet. As you do, pray for God to give you clarity about His will for you and your family and how you can take advantage of this opportunity to invest yourself in something eternal here at Highland Terrace. It is a simple prayer: God, what would you have me do to accomplish your will in our church? Im simply asking you to pray that prayer as a family, from the heart, and then, by faith, follow His leadership. This guide and the other materials will assist you in this spiritual journey. What God has in store for us as we enter a new chapter of great opportunity as a church family will be excitng. May God bless us in these strategic days. Pastor Chet HIGHLAND TERRACE BAPTIST CHURCH 3939 Joe Ramsey Blvd Greenville, TX 75401 highlandterrace.net | 903-455-2970 OUR FUNDING PLAN Found Faithful is the name of our program to raise the $3.6 million needed for our building projects. Found Faithful invites us to give prayerful thought to making a fnancial commitment to complete our projects. This fnancial commitment is to be over and above our current giving to the church and can be paid over three years. Our Stewardship Theme: Give as God Gives. The Bible teaches that we are to give as God has enabled each of us. Found Faithful is not about giving what we do not have but giving signifcantly out of what we do have. When God gave us His Son Jesus, that gif was sacrifcial. Though we cannot match Gods act of sacrifce, through giving of our resources we, too, can give sacrifcially. Sacrifcial giving by each of us will be required to raise $3.6 million. HOW CAN WE GIVE SACRIFICIALLY? HERE ARE SOME IDEAS: FOUND FAITHFUL THE BEST IS YET TO COME! At Highland Terrace Baptst Church, in a season of His favor, the Lord has chosen to pour out His blessing on our church in a spirit of unity, a tme of growth, and a burden to reach our city, Hunt County, and the furthest parts of the world with the salvaton story of Christ. Moreover, it is required in stewards that one be found faithful. -I Corinthians 4:2 Whether we speak of the early days of our founding, building projects along the way, or the decision to relocate from Washington Street to this locaton, our history is a testmony of a church found faithful to the stewardship God has entrusted to us. As in tmes past, we want to be found faithful to Gods open doors of opportunity to extend our witness of the gospel to our community and beyond. Looking ahead, we long to leave a legacy that emboldens future generatons to be found faithful in their proclamaton of the Gospel of Jesus Christ through HTBC. Our Door of Opportunity Several months ago, a door of opportunity opened when the funeral home property adjacent to ours became available. In a near unanimous vote, we commited ourselves to purchase the property and renovate the facility for ministry. But God had more for us Afer thought and prayer, we determined God would have us address some key needs of our churchs existng facility. The tme is now to enlarge and upgrade our kitchen, renovate the fellowship hall, and upgrade our childrens ministry areas. And even more By purchasing the funeral home property, we can now begin to plan and prepare for constructon of our new sanctuary. Our Building Project: Amount Purchase and Renovaton of Funeral Home Property $1,500,000 Fellowship Hall Renovaton/Commercial Kitchen Installaton $500,000* Childrens Ministry Area Upgrades $100,000* New Sanctuary Planning and Preparaton Fund $1,500,000* (*denotes estmated costs) TOTAL PROJECTED COST: $3,600,000 Now is the tme to be Found Faithful in Prayer For 28 days we are asked to seek Gods leadership in what He would have us give over the next three years to accomplish these projects for His work and ministry. Our Found Faithful prayer is God, what would you have me and my family give to accomplish Your will in our church? We believe if each of us pray, faithfully commitng ourselves to following Gods leadership through our giving, God will supply our need and more. We believe that if we are found faithful today as bright as our heritage has been the best is yet to come! Do Away with something By eliminatng items in our current spending, we can redirect those savings to our Found Faithful program. Subscriptons, dining out, vacatons, gif giving, etc., are areas people have curtailed to increase their giving. Delay something By delaying the purchase of items for a later tme, one can increase their present level of giving. Do More of something People have goten jobs, worked overtme, dedicated bonuses, etc., to increase giving. Donate something Giving assets like real estate, cars, jewelry, stocks, etc., greatly enhances ones level of contributon.
