Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA-Bangalore) July 2014 - ongoing
Under Dr. Hiremath K M

This is an ongoing project in Solar - Terrestrial Physics, which includes the study and
data analysis of Indian monsoon with the solar sunspot cycles.

Inter-University Accelerator Center (IUAC) May - June 2014
Under Dr. Subhendu Ghosh

This project included the study of the Superconducting LINAC(Linear Accelerator) at IUAC
and also the acceleration of Ti and Si beams to boost them to almost double of their energy i.e.,
to around 130 MeV. And also calculation of other beam parameters. It also included some basic
study of the Pelletron accelerator at IUAC.

National Institute of Technology Surathkal, Karnataka (NITK) June - July 2013
Under Dr. Shankar B R

This project included the study of mathematics of Fractals and Dynamical Systems. It also
included generating some fractals in python.

- Built a tesla coil as part of Physics-II course which was capable of producing 90kW
from 220V and observed formation of plasma.

- Studied the food habits and observed the food preferences of Diacamma indicum, a
species of ants, as a part of the project for the Ecology Lab course.

Research Interests


I am currently interested in accelerator physics and solar physics. I also have a varied interest in
ecology (mostly behavioral ecology), especially snakes.
