1. Penelitian penggunaan glukokortikoid topikal pada wanita hamil belum dilakukan.
Penelitian pada hewan memperlihatkan bahwa steroid topikal diabsorbsi secara sistemik
dan dapat menyebabkan abnormalitas pada fetus.

2. Beberapa literatur menyebutkan terdapat mekanisme tapering off kortikosteroid topikal,
namun terdapat literatur yang tidak membahas mekanisme ini. Disebutkan bahwa
tapering off dapat dilakukan melalui dua cara:
penggantian potensi kortikosteroid yang digunakan. Kortikosteroid topikal potensi
tinggi kemudian diganti menjadi potensi sedang, lalu potensi rendah, atau
pengurangan frekuensi penggunaan, contohnya dari dua kali sehari menjadi sekali
sehari.
Namun, tidak ada aturan yang pasti batasan waktu tapering off tersebut dilakukan.
