c/o Ms. Karen O. Rimando Office of the College Guidance Services San Beda College Mendiola, Manila
Dear Ms. Rimando:
Pax!
My first year here in San Beda College Manila was certainly a great way to start off my journey here in the institution. At lot a of adjustments were made transitioning from high school to college but the Bedan community made it easier for me to settle down. I consider my scholarship as one of the greatest blessings given to me by God, I am very grateful to be granted this privilege. And what better way to thank the people helping you than by giving your best in academics? During the first semester I attained a GPA of 1.280 and was ranked 8 th in the Accountancy Deans List. On the other hand, I got a GPA of 1.417 during the second. I was able to exceed the maintaining grade of 1.75 for our accounting subjects. I achieved the grade of 1.00 for ACC01 and 1.50 for ACC02. I was also allowed to enter my second year in the accountancy program since I passed the Professional Accountancy Program Admission Test (PAPAT), the qualifying exams for incoming BSA sophomores.
But aside from academic excellence, I also discovered that college life should be enjoyed to the fullest and that balancing academics and extracurricular activities is possible. I have involved myself in the Bedan Musicians Guild, one of the many organizations in San Beda that help students develop their God-given talents. I was able to perform during BMGs second concert entitled Tunog Natin. It was an OPM concert which showcased the best Filipino songs and pieces.
Next academic year, I aim to strive better in academics since the second year in accountancy program is always the most difficult. I also aim to enjoy each day of my stay here in the institution so that I could be a balanced, well-rounded person.
I will always be grateful for the scholarship I now have. I plan to inculcate excellence in everything that I do for you, the people who support me, deserve to be thanked in the best way possible!
