Answer
Self Efficacy
Attitude
Analysis Implementation
As a class, majority of students self
confidence in writing is high because
17 out of 18 students are confident
in writing.
Two students are ELL, which suggest
at least one of them does not feel
confident in writing.
Although 100% of the students like
writing, none of them picked it as
their favorite subject.
Knowing that all students like
writing helps teachers try new ideas
to further spark a students interest

Main goal for students is to stay
interested in writing and praise
students enjoying writing
Incorporate favorite subjects as
writing prompt such Music, P.E. Art
and Math
Self reflections about writing
assessments to see if students liked
a certain writing assignment
MT suggested for me to work with
students struggling to boost
confidence by praising when
appropriate

easy for students to write
about their friends.
None of the students like to
write about their family as a
topic
17 out of 18 students that took
the survey like to create

Students should be introduced
to non-fiction writing that
requires, details and research
Students can also work on a
writing topic creating their
own creative idea students can
explore with their imagination

Time (mins)
Students studying time
Work Habits
Analysis Implementation
Majority of students do get
support from home doing
homework
There is a range of students
that work on their
homework between 1 to 30
minutes
Students often rush doing
their homework
Most students work on
homework for 10 minutes
Students that do not get
support at home from parents,
I would call them to work on a
agreement to get parent
involvement
Allow students to stay after
school if they need extra help
on assignments
Compare quality of students
work with amount of time they
worked on it
Students need to be reminded
to double check their work
Conclusion
Majority of students do like writing, but it is not their
favorite subject.
As teachers, we need to incorporate what students find
enjoyable in their learning process to implement them into
writing lessons.
An overall implement to drive students to choose writing
as their favorite subject is to integrate different subjects
into writing
Example: Majority of students chose P.E. as their favorite subject.
Integrate a writing lesson right after P.E. about what would happen
if P.E. was taken away. This prompt can lead to teaching opinion
writing which students must give reasons and details to keep or
loose P.E.
Conclusion continue
Students need to change their mind set to always ask
help on writing topics
Incentives will be given to students to ask for help for
students to realize teachers are there to help you
Extra credit
Allow time after school or during study hall in order
for students to come up to you and ask for assistance.
Work with parents designating times during the week
to allow students to stay after school for assistance.
