For the last finishing operation, use another Pencil finishing toolpath over the entire part except the base surface. Copy the previous operation
and edit the parameters.
1. Right-click on the Pencil1 operation in the CAM Browser.
2. Select Copy from the pop-up context menu.
3. Right-click again and select Paste from the context menu. A copied operation Copy of Pencil1 is added to the bottom of the list of
toolpaths.
4. Rename the copied toolpath to Parallel Pencil.
5. Right-click Parallel Pencil and select Edit from the context menu to open the Operation dialog box and edit the parameters.
Tool tab
The selected tool should still be #21 - 6mm ball.
Geometry tab
Confine the toolpath to the area above the base.
1. Click the Geometry tab.
2. From the Machining boundary: drop-down menu, choose Selection.
3. Select an edge on the lower boundary as shown below:
Passes tab
1. Click the Passes tab.
2. Disable the Limit number of stepovers check box.
3. Set Stepover: to: 0.7 mm
4. Disable the Stock to Leave check box.
