Students will use Todays Meet to write their thoughts on the quote listed.
The teacher will use a video from BrainPop to discuss introductory paragraphs and
argumentative writing.
Students will write an introductory paragraph for the following argumentative writing topic:
Prompt:
Are cell phones dangerous? Write an essay to your teacher to explain your viewpoint.
Before writing, students will use Popplet to create a graphic organizer to organize ideas for the
introductory paragraph emphasizing the hook, information about the topic, and thesis
statement.
Students will then write their paragraphs onto lined paper.
