Children will be able to identify and recall the
number of the listed animals we see.

Questions to ask:
How many prairie dogs did we see?
How many roly-poly bugs?
How many animals all together?
What were the animals doing?
Procedure:
Before setting out to go to the park children
will be given a laminated find-it paper with
pictures of different animals that we might see.
Children in groups will count the animals as we
walk the trail and write down using dry erase
markers how many they see.

Find it papers
Dry erase markers
