About SAE BAJA 2015

BAJA SAE is an all-terrain vehicle competition jointly initiated by the Society
of Automotive Engineers India (SAEINDIA), the Automotive Research Institute
of India (ARAI) and automotive companies. BAJA emphasises on all aspects
of engineering including design, research, fabricating, testing and
marketing. A series of static and dynamic events evaluate the performance
of the vehicle and the team.

Event originated by the name of Mini-BAJA in the year 1976 in

USA.
More than 8000 people to be attending from mere 26 colleges
participating in 2007, it now has more than 300 participantsproof enough of the massive popularity it has gained. BAJA
SAE 2015- the highest ever IN History.
Event hosted at prestigious NATRIX facility of NATRiP, Indore

SAE eBAJA 2015

SAE INDIA has launched the eBAJA (electric BAJA) competition this
year by the initiative of our ex-president Dr.A.P.J. ABDUL KALAM,
this event is aiming towards the research and development in nonconventional transport technology by young engineers for the
betterment of society.

About Us

TEAM AJINKYA is a group of Self-motivated and hardworking students of

Automobile &Mechanical Engineering department of CGPIT, Uka Tarsadia
University. As a Racing being our passion drives us towards achieving
excellence while designing and engineering our all-terrain vehicle for the
eBAJA competition. Brainstorming about innovation and experimentation
are our key factors in our desire to achieve excellence. We believe that as
an engineer we must do something to solve the environmental issues that
pushed us to make an electric vehicle with all possible up gradation to make
it adopted by the society.

About Our institute

The Bardoli Pradesh Kelavani Mandal (BPKM) is an education trust

established in 1960 with the aim of imparting of higher education
opportunities in and around the rural area.
BPKM has started a self-financed engineering college named as
Chhotubhai Gopalbhai Patel Institute of Technology (CGPIT) under the roof
of Uka Tarsadia University (UTU) in the year 2009 with the view of educating
and training future professionals to lead in today's competitive environment
and to meet the needs of globalization and industrialism by providing
dynamic and conductive learning environment.
CGPIT offers B.Tech. Programmes in disciplines like Electronics &
Communication, Electrical, Civil, Computer, Information Technology,
Mechanical, and Automobile Engineering. CGPIT also offers M.Tech.
Programmes in disciplines like Electronics & Communication, Civil,
Computer, and Mechanical Engineering. Ph.D. programmes are also
carried out by CGPIT in the disciplines like Electronics & Communication,
Civil, Computer, and Mechanical Engineering.
Mission
To provide value-based technical education for mental, physical, moral and
spiritual development of the students and to promote increased use of
science & technology in the day to day life through training and R & D
activities.
Vision
Social upliftment of the community in general and rural community in
particular through the spread of technical education, research, training and
consultancy services.

TEAM AJINKYA has been striving hard to be a better and stronger
competitor each year and we are proud to have cleared the Virtual round
for SAE BAJA 2015 and become the part of 13 team selected from all over
India and one of the 3 team from Gujarat.
Although our team is technically sound, the cost of designing, analysing and
fabricating an eBAJA vehicle is rather high, and it is only through generous
monetary support that we can keep the program competitive. We sincerely
