CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK OF THE EDUCATION PROGRAM:
The artifact is an annotated bibliography for young adult literature. Books were added to the list from each
genre of young adult literature with a wide variety of topics and reading levels. The bibliography is intended to
be used as a reference for teachers to choose literature which can be integrated into multiple content areas. The
books were chosen to focus on a diverse student population and diverse student ability.

IN THE SPACE BELOW, DESCRIBE AND EXPLAIN IN WHAT WAY(S) THIS ARTIFACT
RELATES TO THE COURSE OBJECTIVE(S) YOU ALIGNED IT WITH AND HOW IT
CONTRIBUTED TO YOUR GROWING COMPETENCE IN THE EDUCATION PROGRAM:
The annotated bibliography required me to research and understand the multiple genres of young adult
literature. I had to use the internet to research information on each book such as the summary, Horn Book
ranking, and the reading level. I had to think of literature which would be appropriate for a diverse student
population, and which could be incorporated into an integrated curriculum.
