Technology
Students will use paper and crayons to draw the shapes they
Uses/Materials learned in the iMovie.
Objectives

classroom (ex. Circle, Clock).

iMovie about shapes to practicing drawing shapes and
identifying them around the classroom.
Evaluate: Students will evaluate their own work, and compare
their shapes with other students.
Analyze: Students will analyze the information learned to
draw shapes.
Apply: Students will apply what they have learned practice
drawing the shapes, and then recognize and identify shapes
around the classroom.
Understand: Students must understand these shapes to
identify them, and how different shapes can make up different
objects.

characteristics about each shape.

Measurement
of Success

1. Students in kindergarten will watch an iMovie to learn about

the key characteristics that will help them to identify shapes.
2. Students will be given a piece of paper and crayons to be
guided through drawing the shapes they just learned from the
iMovie.
3. After guided practice, each student will be asked to draw
each shape.
4.
Once the students have had practice drawing these shapes
they will then identify shapes around the classroom.
Success in this project will be measured on how well they can draw
and later identify the shapes that they learned. This project will be
useful because shapes are something that they will use for the rest
of their lives, and need to understand for future lessons.
