EPA Exemptions and Presidential

Involvement
President Clinton signed an Executive Order exempting Area 51 from
environmental regulation in 1995. This order is the most formal
acknowledgement of the existence of Area 51 by the government
The order referred to it as: The Air Forces operating location near Groom
Lake, Nevada.
Area 51 allows the EPA to inspect the facility to ensure it meets
environmental requirements. All reports are classified and cant be
published
Clintons Executive Order allows the reports to remain sealed
Federal Law requires all reports be made available to the public
The President must renew the order each year

The airspace above is known as R-4808 and is restricted to all
commercial and military flights not originating from the base itself
Knowingly flying into R-4808 can result in a court martial,

Rumored Projects
The Aurora is believed to be a canceled project. It was supposed to be
a hypersonic recon jet capable of attaining speeds up to Mach 6
