Change of configuration to enable messaging with version 2.21 or higher
Subject:
Versions earlier than 2.21 were not approved for messaging by using e.g. easyMail or
Capsat. Hence, the default configuration was blocking the possibility to do so.
When upgrading to 2.21 or higher, it is allowed to apply changes making it possible to use
messaging.
This change of configuration may also be necessary for a batch of units, sent from Thrane

& Thrane with 2.21 earlier than October 10 2006!

Priority:

Medium; It is recommended to apply this change / initiative to all units in stock.

For units sold it is recommended to apply this change / Initiative next time the
system(s) is inspected.

Identification:
This applies for TT-3000SSA terminals ver version 2.21 only!!
Terminals produced with versions earlier than 2.21 - AND IF the costumer wish to have
messaging enabled.
Please note; the change may also be necessary for a batch of units, sent from Thrane &

Thrane with 2.21 from July 1 2006 until October 23 2006!
Please note that upgrading to version 2.21 it self will not do the change. The configuration
change must be applied with the commands listed below.
All units sent for repair, will be configured for messaging, however, there is no need to
ship the terminals for repair unless they are faulty! The actual change to enable messaging
should be performed locally by using following commands:

Action:
Procedure to enable messaging in version 2.21:
Messaging is restricted for sysadm authority level and must be configured for normal level.
1. Enter the sysadm level
: su sysadm
Enter password: ********
:

2. Type the following commands:

: se -au set,0
: se -au tx,0
: se -au status,0
:

3. When configuration is finished go back to normal level by rebooting or the command.

: su normal
Enter password:
:

The terminal should now be ready for messaging and the original configuration is still
stored in the terminal!
