Title of Lesson: Encouraging Mindfulness with Yoga (Micro teaching #1)

14.1.1 Explain physical, emotional, social, psychological, and spiritual components of individual and family wellness.
14.1.2 Analyze the effects of psychological, cultural, and social influences on food choices and other nutrition practices.
2. Prior Knowledge
Prior knowledge will be assessed by:
Beginning the class with by writing questions on the board, and asking each student to respond to each question on a piece of
paper provided.
Questions asked will include:
What do you know about yoga?
What is your opinion of yoga?
Rate your willingness to try yoga on a scale of 1-10 (1 being not at all willing and 10 being 100% willing)
