Bull and Yandell to name a few but the first reggaeton artist was El General. He is the reason
why we have all the great reggaeton artist we have today.
Don Omar is the face of reggaeton music today, but he was not always so popular. Don
Omar first started his career as a backup singer for Hector and Tito. Hector and Tito are some of
the oldest reggaeton artist today. Hector and Tito the first people to give Don Omar a shoot.
Don Omar would perform in clubs with DJs. Hector is the one who helped him create his first
solo album. Don Omars first album, The Last Don, went platinum and sold over one million
copies. He is the CEO of Orfanato, which is one of the biggest labels for Latin American
artist. He earned awards for Latin Pop Album of the Year and New Artist & Latin Rap/Hip-Hop
Album of the Year by the Billboard Latin Music Awards in 2003. Don Omars album Kings of
Kings became the highest ranking reggaeton album in history. It debuted at number one on the
Latin sales charts and the number one spot on the Billboard Latin Rhythm Radio Chart with his
single, Angelito.
Don Omar has changed reggaeton in all aspects. After he released his first album in 2003
he never looked back. Don Omar has done so much for the genre of reggaeton. He won Latin
pop artist of the year over a long span of years. Don Omar has stared in movies such as Fast Five
and Fast and The Furious. Some of his songs are even featured in video games, the latest game
was Grand Theft Auto V. People from all countries have herd of Don Omar. His songs are
popular to kids from being in different video games and different popular movies.
Reggaeton would not be where it is at today without Don Omar. He has done so much for
reggaeton and for the Spanish community. reggaeton. Reggaeton is one of the most diverse

genres in todays society. reggaeton has been my favorite genre as long as I can remember.
reggaeton is a part of my family, and it is now a part of me.
