o As the world becomes increasingly globalized, the percentage of
students from other countries who attend university in the United States
has grown exponentially. In the past few years, many researchers haved
examined the effects of this migration on the mental health of these
international students. Almost all of this research is from a psychological
perspective and therefore paints the experience of international students
in a negative light. Now a large gap exists in the research about the
perceived benefits of this move research that could aid universities and
counseling services.
