I am writing to express my strong interest in the Media Communication position recently posted on your
website. I will be graduating this December with a major in Media Communication studies.
While at Thiel College I have had an internship with Steel City Executive marketing firm. I have also worked
on marketing for Rowman and Littlefield during a course service project.
While interning at Steel City Executive, I learned how to manage my time effectively while on my own meeting
with residential customers. In order to succeed I sharpened my communication skills by thoroughly explain
necessary information and relating to the customer. I also was in a position to coach entry level associates how
to advance in a commission based environment. Meanwhile, in Integrated Marketing Communication, our class
was split into two groups to research and plan a marketing strategy. My group was told to work together as a
team of ten to spread the word about food related books primarily through online content such as blogs and
social media.
From my years on the Thiel College football team, I know what it means to communicate effectively so that our
team is in the best possible position to execute assignments. I also know what it means to lead by example
through dedication, character, and work ethic.
