A. This online resource is a tool that is designed to support state and national standards. Each story
on the link has online primary source materials for use in social studies for a range of grade
levels.
B. I think that this resource can be used in all social studies classes because it supports national and
state standards. This resource is of primary sources and it gives teachers the opportunity to use
real life examples about a certain topic. I think the resource can be used for any grade level and
since it is an online resource I think it will attract the students more. This resource can fit into
any unit that the website has primary sources included for. This website is easy for teachers to
navigate and to find stories. The website gives an abundant amount of stories of the week for
easy choosing. The website has their stories grouped by categories or you can search by origins
or media types.
C. I think the purpose behind the publication of this website is for teachers to be able to easily
access online links of primary sources. This website allows teachers to get involved with
technology and online sources.

A. CSPAN Classroom is a free membership resource that teachers can use to enhance their social
studies classrooms with primary source programming and websites.
B. CSPAN Classroom has many primary sources in video format for teachers to use in their
classrooms. This website could be used in any topic that CSPAN offers. It is free to use and this
can be used for students by teachers and students can access it individually also for information.
I think this website can be used in social studies classrooms because it gives teachers a resource
to use to help apply topics beings covered. If I were to use this in a classroom, you could show
primary videos with lessons to enhance the material used.
C. This publication was designed to enhance social studies curriculums by providing teachers with
brief video clips of C-SPAN programming.

A. My Old Radio has thousands of radio shows and episodes including important news
announcements for social studies classrooms to have primary audio/video sources.

B. My Old Radio gives teachers thousands of primary audio and video sources to use in classrooms.
I think this website can be used to listen to speeches from former presidents or important news
announcements about wars. The topics this website could cover are endless because of the vast
amount of resources the website has to offer. For example, I could use this website to listen to
old radio announcements from past presidents. By doing this, I could give the students an article
insight to what people were listening to when the announcements were made.
C. This website was created to give people access to old time radio episodes. This website could
give teachers a way to give students audio primary sources to use in learning different kinds of
topics in their social studies class.

A. Timeline.tv is free to use. It includes rich history videos that include topics like: A History of
Britain, The American West, Nazi Germany, American Voices, and Medicine Through Time.
B. This free to use website is an online timeline through history. Each event includes a video for the
different topic that is given. This website gives a great tour through history hitting every
important event that middle school teachers may be able to use to enhance their classroom. For
example, I could use the video over Great Britains imperialism and the scramble of Africa. It
aligns with standards and teachers can benefit from the interesting videos this website has.
C. This website was created to give teachers and students a way to travel through history in a
timeline with informational videos on each event.

A. CNN Student News is great resource for teachers to use to keep student updated in current
events all around the world. CNN shares current events in ten minute segments that are new
every day.
B. These online current event videos are very informational in a way that students of all ages can
understand. It is especially wonderful for social studies classes, but personally, Ive heard of
other content classes using it just for information to hear. This is a source that students will use.
Its free so teachers will use it to add to their lessons. Any topic in a unit can benefit from these
short current event videos. CNN Student News allows teachers to easily pull up videos for each
day.
C. CNN Student News was designed for middle school and high school social studies/history
classes. The informational videos add current events in 10 minutes for students everyday.

A. Newsela creates a version of articles on their website that fits every students reading ability
based on lexile levels.
B. Newsela is a great resource in which teachers can use to help students be able to read the news
articles provided on their own reading level. This allows students to be able to understand the
material in his/her understanding level. The teacher can give students an article to read
provided by the Newsela website and then teachers can select a lexile level for students to read
through.
C. This website is an innovative way to build reading comprehension through news articles. This
website was created to help teachers keep students reading in a way that is easy enough for
them to understand but still challenging enough for them to build reading comprehension skills.
