Lesson Objectives
Psychomotor:
To get the students heart rates up and
get their bodies warmed and ready for
the days activities.
Cognitive:
Students should be able to think about
how it is important for them to warm up
their bodies before a vigorous activity (no
pulled muscles or injuries).

Safety considerations: Students must be

aware of everything in the environment
that could be dangerous. They need to be
aware of boundaries and fellow
classmates.

Affective:
To have the
students all
actively
participating and
encouraging each
other.

Health-related
fitness:
Students should
know how to get
the body warmed
up and ready for
intense exercise.

Behavioral
Contingencies:
Students are
expected to listen
to instructors and
do what they say.
If students are
causing harm to
other students
they will be taken
out of the activity.
If students are not
following the
instructions then
they will be
warned.

Communication

Good morning
students! Today
we are going to
start the lesson by
getting the body
warmed up and
ready for todays
activities. We
want to get your
heart rates up
before you begin
the station
activities. First off
we need you to
stay in the lines
you are already
in, but everyone
move down so we
can be spread out
across the court.
To start the warm
up we are going
to get you to run
to the other side
of the court and
back in your rows
on our command.
If you are waiting
in line then you
do star jumps
until you get to
the front of the
line. This is
expected for the
full warm up.
Next up we are
going to skipping
to the other side
of the court.

Goal Orientation
or Assessment
This task will
address SHAPE
standard 2, 3
and 5, and CA
standard b.
Students should
know how to
properly get the
body prepared
for exercise.

Now we are going

to do two foot
jumps to the
other side of the
court, trying to
get as far as you
can every single
time you jump.
Once you get to
the other side jog
back.
Now we are going
to warm up the
upper body.
Swing your arms
forwards ten
times, and then
swing them
backwards ten
times as well.
Lastly we are
going to do 3
position squats.
You do 3 squats
with your legs
wide apart, 3
squats in a normal
squatting
distance, and
then 3 squats
with your legs
close and your
feet touching
each other.
I hope you are all
warmed up now
because we are
going to hand you
over to the other
instructors to do
fun activities!
*We will tell the
students what to
do for each

exercise and show

how to do it.
Organization
Brydie, Ikko and I will say good morning to
the students and introduce ourselves. We
will tell them that we are going to get
them all warmed up so they are ready for
the days activities.

1. We will get the students to stay in

their 6 lines but spread across the
white line so they have more
room. It should look like this:

2. On the instructors command, row

by row the students will run to the
opposite white line and back.
When students are waiting in line
they are expected to be doing star
jumps (this is expected during the
whole warm up)
3. After every row has gone through
running to the other side of the
court and back we will get the
students to skip to the other side
and back, still continuously doing
star jumps when its not their turn.
4. Once each row has done skipping
we will get the students to do two
foot jumps, trying to jump as far as

they can each time. We will

provide a demonstration if
necessary. They will do this to the
other side and then run back on
their second lap. Once the first
row has done their jumps the next
row can go (dont need to wait
until the first row is back).
5. Once the students are done with
the jumping and are all back in
their 6 lines we will get them
doing double arm swings, 10
forwards and 10 backwards, just in
the space that they are in.
6. Lastly we will get the students to
do 3 position squats. This means 3
squats with legs in a wide position,
3 squats with legs in a normal
squatting position, and 3 squats
with legs close, feet nearly
touching each other. We will
provide a demonstration.
7. After everyone has completed
their squats it will be the end of
our instant activity. We will then
introduce the people who are
going to do the set induction.
