Using the appropriate use of language to guide and solve problem when conflicts arrive among
children.
Listening the childs concerns and allow them to express themselves in their own feelings and
words.
Guide children to experience social skills by joining other children in play or activities.

Provide opportunity for them to develop new-social emotional skills, such as adding new materials
in the dramatic area so all children can be engaged.
Social-emotional development is supported through positive and consistent relationship between
teachers and children.

Im able to deal with conflict and find resolution.
I am able to guide children on how to deal with conflict resolution.
I am able to lead by example, such as modeling positive behavior with my staff such as showing
appreciation with the help I receive from them. I would say; Thanks, Mrs. Kelly reading that
book to the children. By modeling the polite use of language and encourage children to imitate.

I am able to read a story and engage children in conversation about socially challenge situations.
I can offer curriculums that are engaging and relevant to the children lifestyles and culture.
I am able to provide a positive setting in class that fosters social-emotional development such as
creating routines that are fun and meaningful activities such as songs when doing in activity or
transitions.

**Growth: Please list how your knowledge and skills listed above, have grown as a result of your student
teaching experiences.
In dealing with real life conflict resolution with children Ive learned that I have to take in consideration their
comprehension skills and deal with the conflict by finding a solution and then modeling the polite use of
language to encourage the children to imitate so when they encounter a conflict they are able to solve it and they
are learning their own way of problem solving with their peers and others.

**Beliefs: How has completing the above assignments and your student teaching influenced your beliefs about
what constitutes appropriate guidance strategies and promoting the positive social emotional growth of
children?
I believe that the emotional domain is the most important foundation of all domains, so its important to be
sensitive to the childs needs to help them feel secure and confident so there is positive growth in social
emotional of a child. I will act as a model for positive social behavior. In providing the appropriate guidance
strategies youre being sensitive to the childs needs in your classroom and help the feel secure and confidence.
I will ask questions when conflicts happen such as What happen? Or what can you do so that your friend
Robert knows that youre sorry? I will find a solution for the conflict. In which they will be learning problem
solving skills. This are some beliefs and ways I would deal with guidance strategies and social emotional
growth.

**Future Growth & Next Steps: Think about your future teaching, list three goals to help you improve
upon your existing knowledge and skills and your teaching.
I would like to study how a child social emotional wellbeing will affect them as adults. I am aware of what
a childs needs from the child development classes, but I would like to research more in-dept. and find
out what ways I can help a child in my classroom to be successful no matter what emotional issues they
have.
I would also like to read and research a variety of different guidance strategies to help me find solution
for problem solving with children.
I would also ask teachers, or staff members that work with children what are some of their guidance
strategies when working with children of different ages.
Identify how you will achieve each of these three goals. Be specific. For instance, will you enroll in a
course? If so, what course? Will you read a book? What book?
I will achieve my goals by attending any new college courses that are offered for social-emotional wellbeing for children. I will also talk to any child development majors and ask questions on how would
they solve certain conflicts and what are their guidance scenarios when working with children of all
ages. I would also contact Mrs. Dee. Dee or Mrs. Sandy Child Development Majors to ask them for their

advice or certain for conflict resolutions that I encounter in the future when working with children. I
would also talk to my mentor Mrs. Donna.
