MATH

On this Amazing interactive Website, students and/or teachers can use a grid to choose a
grade level and a mathematical topic. After choosing what they want, a list of interactive
manipulatives and/or activities appears for them to choose from. This website provides
excellent practice for students, by offering many options for mastering skills. Also, this is
a tremendous resource for teachers by providing them with lesson ideas.

This is a completely interactive and welcoming site for teachers and also students. This
site provides worksheets, activities, and overall assistance and additional help with
various math topics at many different grade levels. This website has an abundance of
math games to not only peak students interests, but also get them excited about learning.
Teachers can also use this website to get lesson ideas, and discover new tools and/or
games to include in their teachings.

SCIENCE
2. NSTA (National Science Teachers Association)

If you need a terrific science related teacher resource, this is the association for you! This
website is strictly for teacher benefit. After becoming a member, this association provides
its members with access to science books and resources, current science related news,
and information on upcoming conferences and organizations. This is also a great resource
for getting some great science experiment ideas.
3. Discovery Education (Science Fair Central)

This is a wonderful science resource mainly geared toward students and their parents.
This incredible website is all you will ever need to know about a science fair project. This
site outlines how to properly choose a science fair project topic, how to perform the
experiments, and how to present their projects! There is also a section for parent
resources, which is very informative and helpful. This site could even be used by teachers
to come up with science experiment ideas in the classroom.

READING
4. K12 Reader (Reading Instructions Resources)

This is an excellent resource for teachers. This website provides lesson ideas, graphic
organizers, worksheets, and general assistance with the sometimes challenging topic of
reading. This website addresses all the grades K-12, providing accurate, grade level
compliant material to help students with reading skills, vocabulary, spelling, grammar,
and composition. The website has a section where there is an open forum between users
to exchange ideas with one another!
5. Tumble Book Library

There are so many great resources on this website! This website is completely full of
animated, picture books, which can be read aloud on the site. This allows the students to
be in control of their own reading, while becoming excited about the fun, interactive
format of the website. This site could even be used by teachers as a library for ideas of
childrens books to incorporate into their lessons and classrooms. This website offers a
free trial of using the tumble books, so there is no need for commitment, until you are
sure your students benefit from this type of reading.

SOCIAL STUDIES
6. NCSS (National Council for the Social Studies)

This organization is somewhat of a haven for social studies resources, while also being
accessible by students, too! On this site you could expect to find an abundance of
information on joining the NCSS, and how a membership will benefit, and you have
access to the latest social studies news. Also, on this website teachers and students will
find lesson plans for grades K-12, activities, and interactive materials to help keep
learning interesting!
7. Google Earth

On this interactive website, students can locate their homes or other places that are
important to them. Also, teachers may use Google Earth as an aid in taking tours of
important monuments such as the Eifel Tower. Google Earth is a great way to introduce
maps to students. The way Google Earth is set up; users are allowed to have freedom and

room to explore with this advanced technology, which is always good when you are
trying to have an inquiry-based classroom!

LANGUAGE ARTS
8. Game Goo (Learning that Sticks)

This is an absolutely adorable website that is actually really helpful to the students,
teachers, and parents. This website is completely animated and provides a large amount
of games that reinforce early reading skills along with polishing language arts skills such
as grammar, spelling, punctuation. The site also includes a section for parents and
teachers that explain how the games on the site relate to national standards. This site is
extremely interactive and would draw the attention of any student, while also being
informative and educational.
9. Read Write Think!

This is a great educational tool! This organization provides students and teachers with
access to hundreds of lessons, resources, and ideas for interactive study, and all the
information is organized by grade level. Also, this is a great place to access professional
development information, after school and parent resources, and information about
community involvement. This is an amazing overall site that ties together every aspect of
learning!
