Congratulations! You did it! Consider what life might be like for you.
Guidelines for Creating an Illustrated Journal
About Daily Life
Use the information from your research to create your illustrated journal describing your careers daily
life. Follow these guidelines and rubric:
1. Give your journal an appropriate title. Be original, be creative!
2. Date your entry. This should be some date you hope to be working in this career.
3. Write your journal in order to observe, react, and reflect upon your experiences in your career.
Consider what hours, working conditions, and pay are like.
4. Include vivid and accurate references to at least four of these topics throughout your journal
(UNDERLINE THEM in your journal):
What you do at work
What your pay allows you to purchase
Working conditions (outside, air conditioner, office, garage)
Education required to work in the position
The best part of the job
The hardest/least interesting part of the job
5. Journal entries should use both fact and creative ideas toaccurately describe Egyptianyour careers
daily life.
For example, an entry might begin, Today while standing in the sand, I saw agroup of soldiers ride by in
a military Humvee. I headed back to base and looked for the soldiers.
6. Your journal entry should include an illustration that fits with the entry (photo, graph, etc.) entry.
7. Due Date MondayDecember 15, typed (MLA) or handwritten.
