Lesson Objective
Students will understand the life cycle and stages of a frog. Students will use their
observation and investigation skills to understand new vocabulary and interpret the videos.
Lastly, the students will be able to answer question comprehensively about the life cycle of a
frog.
Formative Assessment
At the end of the class, students should will have enough knowledge to complete an
evaluative handout. This handout will be collected during the next class.
Students will be assessed on correctly labeling the 3 stages of the life cycle of the frog.
Students will be able to successfully draw and label each stage.

Show pictures for each vocabulary word. Ask the
students if they can guess the main topic of the day
based on the pictures.
Ask the students to think about what frogs look like
and to show what they do.
Tell the students that frogs are not born as frogs.
Frogs have many steps in its life that eventually lead
to a fully grown frog. These steps and how a frog
survives in its environment is what will be covered
during the class period.
