Students will use less than < or greater than > with fractions
Assessment
into groups of 2.
2. Each child will have a pack of M&Ms. They will count how many
are in the bag and split the different colors into one group. Ex. Red,
Yellow, Brown, Blue, Orange, Green
3. What fraction represents the number of each color in their pack?
4. Students will add, subtract, multiply, and divide two out of the six
colors, and if some want a challenge, they can do the same with 3.
Ex. 1/2+3/4+5/6.
5. Each student will be assigned mixed practice fraction story
problems.
6. The teacher will then ask various questions to make sure they
understand the concept.
7. The students will then enjoy their M&Ms
