The College of Engineering offers programs leading to the Bachelor of Science (BS) degrees in the major areas of Civil En- > gineering, Architectural Engineering, Mechanical Engineer- ing, and Electrical & Computer Engineering. The College of En- gineering provides first class teaching facilities. The close prox- imity of other departments fosters a climate of collaboration and most of our faculty members are involved in interdiscipli- nary teaching. Architectural engineering and architecture would involve the overall design of buildings along with the structural and/or mechanical systems that make buildings function. Architec- tural engineers are expected to work in coordination with civil, mechanical and electrical en- gineers. Careers for architectural engineers are available in the areas of government and pri- vate sectors. Our emphasis on discipline and engineering fundamentals, along with design and communi- cation prepares our graduates for ultimate learning and for diverse and motivating careers in their fields. Our programs prepare our graduates to be leaders in their profession, policy and decision makers at the local, national and regional levels. Our graduates are expected to also be prepared to pursue careers in their disciplines or enroll in graduate schools where they can become leading researchers and educators at academic institutions. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Jamrah Dean, Collage of Engineering College of Engineering - Architectural Engineering Program | 2 ARCHITECTURAL ENGINEERING PROGRAM + DEGREE AWARDED: Bachelor * DURATION: Min: 4 years; Max: 6 years + TITLE OF GRADUATE: Architectural Engineer PROGARM GOALS: Goal A: Prepare and equip students with the necessary skills, knowledge and attitudes needed to contribute effectively in modern society by respecting the environmental, economic, social and cultural aspirations of society.
