2014/2015 Season

By Adriana C. Muniz
As the Holiday Season rolled in, Tri-M finished off 2014 with yet another
win bringing their season to a 5 Wins/1 Loss record. Losing to St.
Sebastians earlier this month, certainly motivated the team to come back
even stronger than before. We also saw a LIAM team come back stronger as
well, as they themselves had lost to Tri-M back on November 19th.
Both teams had a must win attitude and confidence levels were running
high. We saw how Tri-Ms novice team torpedoed themselves into an exciting
win dominating with a half pool lead. Throughout the night, the LIAM team
grew more and more competitive in the races not letting down their guard.
Bantams and Juniors answered the competitive call and delivered
throughout the night. We saw some amazing finishes as Tri-M edged out
LIAM. The Seniors again delivered a stand up finish as they took more than a
whole lap lead to many of their races. Regardless of the score, both these
teams swam like winners and watching them was a true pleasure.
The boys (qualified swimmers only) will be getting ready for the CYO
Olympics on January 3, 2015 at Eisenhower Park in Nassau County. Be
there to cheer them on!
