A frase a seguir tem uma composio complexa: What are the three
things she likes or loves?. Poderia ser resumida em: What are they she
likes ou loves? Qual dessas trs coisas ela gosta ou ama? Exemplo
parecido: What are the two things -- she dislikes or hates?
Em algumas frases, no h a partcula que, que teria em portugus,
que seria Quais so as duas coisas que ela no gosta ou odeia? A
mesma coisa que acontece com I have to check, que seria traduzido
como Eu tenho que checar.
Quando vamos falar de uma atividade em si, usamos o verbo em sua
forma bsica, como nos exemplos abaixo:

Should e Shouldnt
Para formar frases com should e shouldnt, devemos coloca-los entre o
sujeito e o verbo.
Ex: You should go/We shouldnt go. Obs: como se houvesse 2 verbos,
o shouldnt e o go, nesse caso.
Ento, a estrutura fica: Sujeito + should/shouldnt + verbo principal.
Para fazer um yes-no question, devemos colocar o should no incio da
frase. Simplesmente trocar ele de lugar com o sujeito.
Ex: Should we go?
Para fazer uma pergunta aberta, podemos usar uma question word. Ex:
What should we do this weekend?/Where should we go? s colocar a
question word na frente.
Quando afirmativa, devemos apenas colocar o sujeito e a palavra
should/shouldnt. Ex: I should/We shouldnt
Expresso: You know what?/Voc sabe o que?
O verbo go pode ser auxiliar vez em quando. Ex: You go away for two
weeks. Go away = ir para longe
Two weeks of rain. O of aqui significa uma semana de chuva, composta
por chuva.
Para fazer perguntas, basta trocar o verbo can com o sujeito do verbo
principal de lugar.
Ex: She can play chess/Can she play chess?
Para fazer alguma pergunta no infinitivo, usamos o ing.
Ex: Does Laura like playing tennis? Laura gosta de jogar tnis?
Can Ken play tennis? Can he play a guitar?
Once (para falar sobre algo que acontece uma vez em um perodo one
time). Twice (para falar sobre algo que acontece duas vezes em um
perodo two times). Quando ocorre mais de duas vezes em um perodo,
falamos three times, four times etc. Usamos a palavra every para
designar a repetio de um fato sempre em uma mesmo perodo, por
exemplo: every august. Usamos about quando a frequncia no exata.
Ex:

Usa-se o verbo auxiliar does mesmo quando a pergunta para o verbo
fazer. Ex: What does the woman do?
Ao falar no telefone, dizemos: ex: this is tala.

Para dizer como nos sentimos, podemos usar o verbo to be + um
adjetivo.
Ex: Im + tired/I feel hot/I feel tired.
Use o verbo hurts + uma parte do corpo para dizer que algo di. Ex: My
head hurts/My throat hurts/I have a sore throat/I have a sore arm. Obs
que no h um conectivo entre a expresso have a sore e a parte do
corpo onde h a dor. Ex: I have a sore throat.
Lots of, quer dizer muito. Pode vir entre verbo e substantivo. Ex: Get lots
of sleep/Drink lots of liquids. Parece que essa expresso pode ser aplicada
a dizer que algo que incontvel muito.
Quando vamos dar conselhos, usando o imperativo com o verbo em sua
forma bsica. Ex: Drink lots of liquids/Get lots of sleep/Take it easy/Take
aspirin for you headache.
Incerto: Im not sure.
Obs: quando vamos afirmar que podemos chegar a algum lugar, tambm
usamos o get. Ex: You can get to the park by bus/You can get there by
sybway.
Get on pode ser pegar. Get off descer.
O verbo take pode indicar quanto tempo demora uma viagem. Usa-se a
expresso How long para perguntar isso. Ex: How long does it take by
bus?/R: Its takes about 30 minutes.
There are H, no plural. There is h, no singular. Para perguntas,
jogar o to be pra frente.
Which one uma expresso usada para perguntar qual dos.
Na frase Theyre both good o verbo to be est longe do adjetivo, mas,
est presente em theyre.
Expresses de indicao de lugar: across the street/on the corner of/next

futuro se houver uma expresso acompanhando de tempo futuro. What
are you doing tomorrow? 3 requisitos: be + verbo ing + alguma expresso
de futuro.
Sempre aps would like, o verbo em seguida vem acompanhado por
to.

Os verbos ing so empregados em situaes onde o verbo no

Verbos try, remember e stop
Esses verbos mudam, conforme os verbos que os seguem
Try: Try + to + verbo. Se for seguido de infinitivo (to + verbo), quer dizer
tentar fazer algo. Ex: Maybe Ill try to buy. Se o try for seguido de
gerndio, try + verbo ing, significa fazer algo pela primeira vez, ou fazer
algo diferente. Maybe Ill try swimming on my vacation. Obs: o verbo try
se mantm, o que muda o verbo que vem em seguida, que pode ser
infinitivo ou verbo ing.
Remember: Tambm h diferena de significado se o que vem aps o

Como transformar verbos em substantivos:
Alguns verbos podem ser transformados em substantivos acrescentandose um sufixo. Alguns sufixos comuns podem transformar verbos em

Oraes com propose e suggest
Usamos os verbos propose e suggest para fazer sugestes. Podemos
emprega-los com that, ou no.
Os verbos depois de propose e suggest no precisam concordar com o
sujeito, ficam sempre no infinitivo (ou seja, no conjugado). No h um
passado, futuro etc. apenas o verbo no infinitivo simples. Isso significa
