Ewing mayor fills boards and commissions

EWING — Not every appointment made at last week’s township reorganization meeting required the
township council’s confirmation.

Republican Mayor Jack Ball submitted a list of his appointments to various commissions, boards and
committees that was acknowledged by the Democratic-controlled council.

Planning Board: Business Administrator David Thompson and Harold Moeller for one-year terms expiring
Dec. 31., Vincent Shea and David Rose, four-year terms expiring Dec. 31, 2013, and William P. Hill Sr.,
alternate 2, expiring Dec. 31, 2011.

The council authorized Councilman Bert Steinman’s appointment to the Planning Board for one year, to
Dec. 31

Economic Development Commission: Ronald Prykanowski, Joseph P. Kurpiewski, Thomas Ryan and
Stanley Kramer, all three-year terms expiring Dec. 31, 2012.

Historic Preservation Commission: Helen Ash Kull, Carol Hill and Dorothy J. Kandebo, all four-year terms
expiring Dec. 31, 2013.

Fire Advisory Board: Fire Chiefs Ralf Brandmier and Mattew Kalnis, three-year terms expiring Dec. 31,
2012.

Animal Advocate Committee: Dr. Georgia Arvanitis, Annemarie DeAngelo, Community Affairs Director
Ted Forst, Mark Phillips, George Steward and Mayor Ball, all one-year terms expiring Dec. 31, 2010.

Environmental Commission: Harold Rapp, filling Scott Butterfield’s unexpired term, ending Dec. 31, 2010,
and Jim Castelize (alternate 1) filling Rapp’s seat to Dec. 31, 2010.

Sustainable Ewing Green Team: Victoria R. Schmelia, John Hoegl, Peter Boughton, Elizabeth McManus,
Tom Elder, Mark Pokryska, Lee Farnham, Jonathan Savage, Lisa Grega, David Thompson, Michael A.
Nitti, Mayor Ball, Councilwoman Kathleen Wollert, all one-year terms expiring Dec. 31, 2010.
