Anti-Friction (Rolling) bearing.
In anti-friction bearings, friction is less than plain bearings because of
the rolling action of the balls/rollers and because of the minimized
contact area.
A Rolling bearing consists of 4 parts.
1) THE OUTER RACE (RING) fits into the machine housing.
2) THE INNER RACE (RING) fits on the shaft.
3) THE ROLLING ELEMENT rolls between the two races.
4) THE CAGE, keeps a fixed distance between the rolling elements, and
stops them from touching each other.
