You are given a memo (page 14 of Module). Based on the format of the memo, write

an essay of about 350-400 words. Write a memo to your colleagues informing them
about an urgent meeting to be held in your school.

Subject: Urgent Meeting about DSKP English Year 5 and to improve writing skill among
year 6 pupils .
Starting January 4th , 2015 We are going to implement new curriculum for Year 5. I have
attended 4 days course in PPD District Kinta Selatan. So I would like to brief to all the
teachers about this matter. And the second matter is to improve writing skill among our
year 6 pupils in future . All the English teacher are required to attend the meeting on
Thursday, October 30th which is to be held in school conference room. The meeting will be
conducted at 3:00 - 5:00 p.m.
In 2012, the percentage of UPSR was ONL37% only. When I was given the year 6 class in
2013, I struggled to bring the pupils and as you all know the percentage of English in year
2013 was 42% and this year it is increased to 56%.. Even though our percentage is
increased but only 3 pupils got A in English language. It is an achievement for our school
yet we need to produce more A in future. So immediate actions should be taken to improve
this language among pupils in our school.

I have few ideas and would like to share some of them with you all. I am going to talk about
Teachers should come up with possible of potential ideas to improve our pupils in writing.
We will share our ideas and come up with better ideas to implement in the classroom foI
would like to share my point of views on brainstorming.

Brainstorming is an activity with which most people are familiar. The object in
brainstorming is to compile as large a list as possible of potential examples for
a given topic. This is a great activity to do in small groups or with the entire
class.Brainstorming a list of ice cream flavors is an easy one to start
with when introducing the concept. Naturally, one idea will spark another,
so it is helpful to have students working together when brainstorming. Give
your students permission to be as creative as they like. Anything goes with
brainstorming. Challenge your students to come up with as many examples
as they possibly can for whatever topic you give them.
