COLLEGE BROCHURE PROJECT

GOAL Create a brochure for the college you are most interested in attending.
PROCESS There are TWO ways to complete this project:
1. Open a blank Word document
a. Change the page orientation to LANDSCAPE
b. Set margins to .5 on each side
c. On the Page Layout Tab Columns 3 with no line between
d. Save this document as Page One
e. Save the document again (Save As..) as Page Two
2. Open Publisher
a. Select a template for a brochure
b. The document will already be set with TWO pages split into three sections leave it this way!
c. Save the document as College Brochure
With either of these formats, create a brochure with the following:

INSIDE OF BROCHURE

Section 6 will be the front cover.


Include the name of college at top
Picture of college
Web address below picture.
Include your name in small print at the bottom.
Section 5 is the back of the brochure.
Address of school.
Include a picture of the college.

Section 4 should list:


Description (Example: Large, 4-year, public university)
Setting (Town, Suburban, Urban, etc.)
Total # Undergraduates
Tuitions Costs for full-time students
Housing (Room & Board) Costs
Section 1 will include information about undergraduate admissions.
Whats Important: Academic GPA, Standardized Test Scores, School Record, Essay, Class Rank, etc.
Application deadlines
Application fee, etc.
Average financial aid package
Include information about the GPA, ACT or SAT scores. (required or average)
Sections 2 should have include information about sports, clubs and an event being held on campus. **Must have all

Section 3 Information and a picture of about the major that you are interested in. Some examples would be the name
of degree programs available in that major (For example: Business has Accounting, Economics, Marketing and more).
How many credits are required for graduation?
What are 2 classes you will have to take?
