PSUs recruiting through GATE 2015 score

Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) are companies owned by either the central government, state governments or by a single owner. Every
year PSUs hire a large number of candidates for entry level jobs. One of the selection criteria used by PSUs is the GATE Score. A large
number of PSUs use GATE score to shortlist candidates and call them for interview directly based on GATE score.
We have compiled a list of PSUs recruiting (or expected to recruit) through GATE 2015, along with their application dates, eligible

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is mandatory for pursuing M.Tech, MS at some of the most prestigious institutes viz.
Indian Institute of Science (IISc Bangalore) (http://www.iisc.ernet.in/), Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Bombay (http://www.iitb.ac.in/),
IIT Delhi (http://www.iitd.ac.in/), IIT Guwahati (http://www.iitg.ac.in/), IIT Kanpur (http://www.iitk.ac.in/), IIT Kharagpur
(http://www.iitkgp.ac.in/), IIT Madras (http://www.iitm.ac.in/) and IIT Roorkee (http://www.iitr.ac.in/)), National Institute of Technology
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Institutes_of_Technology) and other universities and is jointly administered by The Indian Institute
of Science (IISC) (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indian_Institute_of_Science) and seven Indian Institutes of Technology
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indian_Institutes_of_Technology). GATE 2015 score is valid for THREE YEARS from the date of announcement
of the results.
Prestigious organizations like BARC, Mumbai call for interviews for jobs as scientists, based on GATE scores/percentiles.
Various PSUs like BPCL, HPCL, BHEL, BAARC, IOCL and ONGC etc. use GATE score as one of their selection criteria
As per AICTE norms, a B.Tech graduate is eligible for the Asst. Professor post in an engineering college, if the candidate is qualified in
GATE with a minimum 75 percentile.
In some of the universities abroad (in places like Singapore etc.), financial aid is offered for pursuing MS if a student possess a good
GATE rank.
A valid GATE score is essential for obtaining financial assistance during Masters programs and direct Doctoral programs in
Engineering/Technology/Architecture, and Doctoral programs in relevant branches of Science from institutes supported by the MHRD or
other Government agencies.
