TOMCO (TATA Oils Mills Company) shows loss, due to which Ratan sold this loss making
company, which helped in converting the TATA group into a lean organization. It was helpful
to save the group for the inefficiency of capital and other resources and concentrating them to
those sectors which could benefit for the group. They also favored different mergers which
proved beneficial for the overall growth of the business.
