Guidelines for preparation of synopsis and project in MScIT 3rd and 4th

Semester respectively
Msc(IT) -3rd and 4th Semester
Initial work during 3rd semester:
i)
During M.Sc(IT) 3rd Semester, students should send a brief progress report ( 6 to
10 pages) to Registrar, Evaluation/KSOU, through their study centre with a copy
to VET Delhi before a specified date giving details of the following:
a) Title of the project.
b) Name of the Guide (indicate Designation & Organization) and Qualification /
experience.
c) Write-up on Literature survey.
d) Proposed scope & Plan of the project work.
e) Bibliography.
ii)

Implementation and completion of project during M.Sc(IT)-4th semester.

The student has to complete his project work, and submit the following.
a) 2 hard copies of the project work to KSOU.
b) One hard copy to VET Delhi.
Note: THE STUDENT SHOULD CARRY A SOFT & HARD COPY OF HIS
PROJECT WORK AS WELL AS A COPY OF THE PROGRESS REPORT
SUBMITTED IN M.Sc(IT) 3rd SEMESTER, TO THE UNIVERSITY
EXAMINATION.

University Evaluation:
The project work will be evaluated by the University appointed examiners as per
schedule announced by the University.
The evaluation may be based on any or all of the following aspects:
a) Demonstration and Presentation of the Project work by the student.
b) Viva-voce
c) Evaluation of the content of the Project work.
d) Review of the progress report submitted by the student.

Marks for Project work:

Internal Assessment = ( 25 + 25 )= 50 marks
( For 3rd and 4th semester put together )
University Evaluation = 100 marks
