We are pleased to say that this project is progressing well, and we have recently signed a lease with Liverpool City Council for Calderstones Mansion House, Coach and Stable yards giving us residency for 125 years. This means we are now ina very positive position to move further ahead with our plans to develop a home for our growing community of readers. The first phase of this will include working with members of the community to raise funds for vital mansion refurbishment, as well as working together to make sure local voices are heard in the process. We are delighted to say that we have recently been awarded a capital grant from the Social Investment Business to create an Interactive Story Centre for young people in the Barn and Stable Buildings. Work for this is now well underway and we're looking forward to opening the doors to the public in the near future. If you would like to find out more, please do pop in and talk to us or see inside the guide for contact details. Here at The Reader, we love meeting new people, sharing stories and spreading the word about our work, so we'd really like to hear from you.
