AS the only LSESU society that offers comprehensive analysis of current issues surrounding insurance, pensions and investment from an actuarial perspective, we have established ourselves as a leading professional society in LSE with over 200 members. We place great emphasis on educating our members on the latest issues in the actuarial industry and the profession itself by working closely with professionals from our sponsors and partners. We are committed towards providing our members with experience and insight related to the profession, indeed, developing the actuaries of tomorrow. In the past, we have successfully organised talks to raise commercial awareness amongst members regarding pensions and insurance and exploring ways in which actuaries respond to challenges in the dynamic, changing world. Our events have provided members with advice pertaining to internships and the opportunity to speak with seniors and alumnus who share their experiences in placements in the industry. The Actuarial Conference The Actuarial Conference invited speakers from various fields of actuarial work to share their experiences and provide insight into the latest developments in the industry. This year’s confernece will focus on topics regarding the future of the insurance field, while also taking into consideration various actuarial-related prospects. The panel discussion allowed members of the audience to address their queries and gain a better understanding of the topics of interest, as well as a fantastic opportunity for our sponsors to interact with deeply interested students in the UK and an effective medium to increase awareness of the opportunities provided at the firm.
