How many w ays can 6 boys and 6 girls be seated in a circle so that no tw o boys sit next
to each other?

Note that there must be exactly

spaces betw een the boys, each of w hich must be

filled w ith exactly one girl. Thus there are

number of w ays to order the boys and

girls once w e have established this arrangement.
